Facts and Info

Located in north-central Alabama (Toney, AL).  Belinda and Terry Kennedy have been raising whitetail deer here for 23 years.

Southern Yankees prides itself in raising some of Alabama's very best typical northern genetics.  Huge bodies with wide frames and long tined antler are the standard genetic traits. Alabama is a closed state with regard to the importation of whitetail deer.  Therefore, one's doe herd is very important.  Our northern doe herd is from a foundation of proven producers.  They have 200" B&C genetics on the top and bottom  of their pedigree.

Has a state of the art handling facility.  This facility has allowed us to make huge leaps in our genetic production by artificially inseminating our does.  We are using proven AI sires like Grizzy, Maxbo Ebenezer, Shadow, Dream Ranger, Allstar, Thunderstrike, Spyder and Noble.  All of these sires have that big wide typical look the industry loves.

Our fawns are born in late May, long before Alabama's native herd.  Our buck fawns are fast maturing showing hard horn buttons at 5 months old.

Our yearling bucks' first racks are averaging scoring over 130".
