Debbie Jennings, Tenor

Raised in New Jersey, Debbie made the trek southward to attend Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Soon after, she settled in the Charlotte area and has been there ever since.

A single mother of three beautiful daughters, Kaili (14), Katrina (12) and Kelcey (8), Debbie spends most of her time home schooling and is involved in many other events revolving around their school life.

Lorrie Mauney, Lead

Lorrie is a ‘Barbershop Brat’. Her Dad got her hooked singing tags at the age of four (yes – there is documented proof). Her brother and sister both sing in choruses in Hartford, Ct. and Binghamton, NY respectively.

Lorrie has an extensive singing background and has been singing on stage since the age of nine. She has performed professionally in numerous theatre and dinner theatre productions. She even met her husband on stage during a production of ‘55 minutes from Broadway’. It was love at first duet. They have been married for sixteen years and have two boys, Justin (12) and Christian (8).

Loretta Bell, Bass

Loretta Bell sings the bass part with Southern Yankees. She is originally from New Castle, PA, where she won her first quartet championship in Region 18. Her fondest memory of this time is competing in Royal Albert Hall in London at her first International Competition. After moving south in 1980, Loretta joined the Queen Charlotte chapter and started singing in a quartet. She has since won 7 more Region 14 quartet championships with 4 other quartets.

Loretta is married and is the mother of a daughter, Chris, and son, Scott and stepson Jack.

Judy LaBor, Baritone

A true Southern Yankee, Judy is originally from New Jersey, where she started her Sweet Adeline ‘career’ at her mother’s advice. Now residing near Charlotte, NC. with her husband Hank, of 38 years, Judy is the mother of Mike (wife Tonya), and Tom (wife Lori), and grandmother of six year old Reagan.
NOTE: Tonya and Lori’s mothers are Sweet Adelines, too!

Judy holds a BA degree in Elementary Education and has been teaching for 24 years. She also is a team leader, staff development coordinator, mentor, assessor, certified reading specialist, and of course, helps with all the musical programs at her school.
